Fred Allen

Fred Allen was a Korean War Veteran. Born in Esquimalt on April 12, 1919. Fred served in the Canadian forces during the Korean War. He left to fight for our country knowing little of this distant land, South Korea. Instead, he fought based on a love for his country and a wish to do good and bring peace on the other side of the world. Following the War, he returned to Canada and married his wife, Clementine. They had three children, Janet, Terry and Rick. His love for his family and country have lived on far past his final breath on earth on March 4, 2005 (in Surrey).
